Get more power from your GPU technology investment...

For a small charge we can take your existing graphics card and apply our modifications to deliver you between 15-30% more performance from the same card.  We use the same process applied to our new PC builds:

  1. the card is tested to ensure its suitability for the process (a small percentage of cards are too marginal in headroom for it to be worth making the modifications).  The tests include 3D graphics performance, thermal output, voltage levels and regulation, stability and memory bandwidth tests
  2. the card cooler is removed and board and IC's inspected, cleaned up and modified for the best thermal contact
  3. a more powerful and efficient cooler and low noise high performance fan are fitted that will drop the core temperature of the GPU on the card by 10-15C under load
  4. the RAM and RAMDAC also have their own dedicated passive coolers fitted
  5. the card is retested to ensure stability and verify improved cooling and performance
  6. the cards onboard BIOS is then modified and updated to extract the best possible performance with the new cooler
  7. the card is retested and a performance report produced at its maximum possible settings.  The settings are throttled back by 5-10% for every day use.
  8. a soak test is run on the card performing complex 3D graphic operations for at least 24hrs continuously to ensure stability at all resolutions
  9. the card is repackaged and returned to you, with its performance report and our own additional warranty to cover the modifications.

  • nVidia 8 series GPU cards (8800, 9800)
  • nVidia 9 series GPU cards
  • R600 series ATI cards (HD 2900, 3800)

Card modification is priced at £75 for air cooling and £175 for water cooling, includes our own one year supplemental warranty on the modifications work.  Most manufacturers standard warranty is made void by modification.
