1. GOODS
Cryo PC Computers sells Custom Built PCs and PC related equipment (components)
Components: We do our best to keep our catalogue of products in the most accurate state. Liability for errors and omissions will not be accepted and pictures are for illustration purposes only and might not correspond exactly to the actual product.
The buyer must ensure that the goods purchased are compatible with his/her requirements – please contact us if in any doubt our experts and specialists are here to help you.
Custom Built Systems: All of our systems are bespoke and built to order within 7-21 days of placing the order depending on the option selected and providing all required components are available. In the unlikely event that something is not available, we will advise of nearest equivalent alternative replacements of the same or similar value. Usually you will be offered a component upgrade in these instances.
After the systems are built, they are tested for at least 72 hours and only then they are dispatched with the delivery method that has been selected.
We cannot commit to allow cancellation of a custom built PC. Once it has entered the building process neither is it always possible to vary an agreed specification. However invariably we can accommodate new requirements or cancellation by mutual agreement.
In the event a cancellation is authorised by us, a sliding scale of restocking fees may be applied at our discretion starting at 20% the day after order placement to up to 50% the day before dispatch. This fee is levied to cover costs of administration, build and labour costs to date, re-allocation, stock holding and potential disposal costs. Please refer to the Order Cancelations below.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods are tested within 48 hours after accepting delivery. In the unlikely event a fault is found or believed to be found you need to inform us directly. We will take immediate action to resolve any warranty claims within the set warranty period. A warranty claim does not imply a right to return goods. Returned goods will only be accepted at our discretion and by mutual agreement.
Quotations: Quotations are a mutual commitment on price and specification for the term set out by the quote expiry date. Due to currency fluctuations, manufacturing variances and technology advances we cannot always extend the validity of a quote. Quotations only commit to a given specification as so far as they are described in the quotation document.
Specifications: Component and Cryo Boost™ specifications do vary with manufacturing variability and consistencies of one batch over another. Some components in a given product specification may be discontinued or we may choose to no longer certify them as part of our component specification if they do not meet our high quality and reliability standards. Overclocking specifications (such as maximum clock speeds specified in MHz or GHz) should be met or exceeded as they are generally understated to be within the margin of error. Generally overtime semiconductor prefabrication quality increases the available overperformance in a given component. However, due to changes in manufacturing prefabrication it is possibly for the margin of variability to increase downwards, though rarely, in which case you should expect a possible variance of up to 10%.
We do not guarantee that our PCs will be compatible with other equipment that is not purchased from us. This includes any peripherals or internally mounted devices. Please contact our experts if you would like to check the compatibility of other products.
2. OFFER AND ACCEPTANCE
All products displayed are an invitation to treat. By placing an order online or otherwise the buyer is making an offer that can be refused when the order is processed.
Cryo PC reserves the right to refuse any offer without any explanation. We are not under any obligation to sell if there was an error in price, description, model and as such, we reserve the right to refund monies paid for orders we do not accept at our discretion.
3. PRICE
All prices shown are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated and are subject to change without notice.
Although we endeavour to keep our catalogue up to date and accurate due to the enormous wealth of information and data made available it is possible that errors or omissions may exist at any time. In the event an error is detected and Cryo PC believe this affects a buying decision the buyer will be contacted and advised if anything was incorrect and of possible alternatives, or variation in expectations. The delivery and handling charges are calculated when the quotation is produced. There is no need to create an account or to give any personal information to find out the total price including delivery and taxes. See our privacy policy for more information on personal data we hold and how we use it.
4. DELIVERY
Due to the extremely delicate handling requirements of high end computing technology we have developed sophisticated preparation, packaging and shipping solutions. This means we are able to ship any Cryo Product worldwide. For destinations other than mainland UK, the order might take longer to be dispatched/delivered.
Components
Component orders are not generally advertised but offered by exclusive invitation and with special arrangement to the advantage of our loyal customers.
Usually we deliver Monday to Friday with secure and reliable carriers. Saturday Delivery may be specially arranged at an additional cost. The cut-off time for components orders is 15:00 at the latest.
Custom Built Systems
All computers are built to order (7-21 days) unless otherwise specified. Deliveries also tend to be one off we don't generally ship in bulk. We are very selective about our carriers as we have had bad experiences with 'economy' carriers and the bulk carrier operation we have concluded is just incompatible with delicate and sophisticate computer equipment. Sometimes we will use a dedicated carrier or ship equipment ourselves if a field engineer is scheduled to be in your area. By being so careful with our packaging and selective about our carriers DOA PC's or faults through carrier mishandling are very rare,.
If for any reason our couriers have been unable to deliver the items to you, they will attempt a delivery the second time at no charge and any other attempt will may be charged for. If they are still unable to deliver the goods are normally held at the local depot for 5 working days before being returned to us. There may be administration and further shipping fees incurred should we have to arrange redelivery.
Please note that it is imperative that the delivery is signed as UNCHECKED (this means writing the word UNCHECKED below the signature) otherwise should damage later be found you may be unable to claim it through the carrier insurance we have taken out for your delivery. We are unable under any circumstances to compensate you ourselves this can only be done through the carrier with your co-operation. If you either do not check delivered goods are 100% in working order and undamaged and sign for it or neglect to sign for it 'UNCHECKED'. You must also be diligent and ensure you check the goods are working very soon after delivery (usually 48-72 hours) or this may also invalidate any subsequent claim. Please also note damage caused in transit by the carrier or by any other party cannot be RMA'd (Returned Merchandise Authorisation).
5. PAYMENT
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Delta, Maestro and Solo online, all private data is secured with 128bit encrypted secure payment system (including PayPal & Google checkout). All payments are processed in real-time at the moment of ordering. We do not store any card details on our systems. We can also accept postal cheques, eCheques and bank transfers by arrangement.
6. REGISTRATION AND CHECKOUT
At this time for your security and peace of mind we do not take registration details or operate a typical basket and checkout system. We think neither is important to our business model and does not assist us in providing a good service to you so we do not require you to do unnecessary administration to do business with us. Our configurator and quote system works well and is liked by our customers generally. We believe a high specification desktop PC's are very personal high value items and cannot simply be ordered by a checkout system that you might use for your groceries.
7. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Components
All our returns are processed via our automated RMA system. Simply email us with the component or system details you wish to RMA with the symptoms of your fault, and we will arrange a repair or replacement. No returned goods will be accepted without an RMA number or prior arrangement of return.
Unless the warranty return service (on-site warranty) has been purchased with your order you are responsible for arranging, the costs and returning goods. You must return goods in the same or equivalent packaging we always recommend you retain original packaging for this purpose. The costs of damage in transit back to us cannot be paid for by Cryo PC. Delivery costs are non-refundable.
If a product or system is found to be working, the return will be subject to 25% restocking fee in the case of a component or a labour and administration fee for a complete custom system starting at our minimum on demand charge out rate of £50 inc VAT. This is to cover the considerable setup, testing, fault finding and diagnosis that is required on a returned system or component with no fault found.
When the refunds are made, please allow up to 5 days to appear on the card that has been used for payment.
Custom Built Systems
For custom built systems we do not accept any returns as stated above.
At Cryo PC, we are confident that our systems will not only meet the buyer’s expectations, but exceed them, and our engineers aim to make sure that each PC built is 100% tested through a torturous regime to ensure total satisfaction.
In the unlikely event that the buyer is not entirely happy with the product chosen, Cryo PC will make best endeavours to advise and replace any products such as Graphics, Sound, CPU, Case, motherboard etc and to advise of any increase/decrease to the original cost. We provide a great deal of option choice and information on how to make those choices but we have to assume some knowledge and level of due diligence on the part of the buyer when placing an order. The engagement of experts and engineers in our quotation process is designed to catch any anomalies in early at design specification before the system is built and usually you will be informed or provided with a recommendation regarding any option choice we do not think ideal or appropriate. However ultimately the decision is yours and we will always act in your best interests and on your direction.
8. WARRANTIES
Components
Warranty does not cover incompatibility/physical damage, incorrect installation or overclocking/modification of the item(s) by the customer. Removal of warranty labels or seals will immediately void the warranty. Cryo PC cannot accept any returns unless an RMA number has been issued. Some of the products are sold with the manufacturer's warranty that ensures a quicker return process including advance replacements. Monitors and Hard Drives are sold with the manufacturers warranty.
Custom Built Systems
All of our systems are sold with 1 Year RTB (return-to-base) warranty, unless otherwise selected by the customer.
System Warranties DO NOT cover any software or operating system problems, nor any peripherals or additionally installed equipment, however we are happy to assist remotely and help in solving the problems. In the rare occasions when we can not solve the software problem over the phone, or via remote assistance we can offer to collect the system and investigate the problem. If it is found to be a hardware issue the faulty parts are replaced and the system is returned to the buyer at no charge. If the problem was purely a software problem, we will make a charge to cover the delivery expenses that depends on the delivery method used. BIOS related problems are treated as software issues. We request that our customers have some technical knowledge or are willing to fully cooperate on dealing with basic troubleshooting tasks in the event of system misbehaviour.
The warranty does not cover physical damage, incorrect installation or overclocking/modification of the system by the buyer.
The buyer can upgrade the system, but our warranty will not cover any 3rd party components, nor will the system be covered by the warranty in situations when the upgrade has caused direct or indirect damage/modification to the whole system, or in anyway compromised the systems longevity as a whole. If the system needs upgrading, we can offer such a service, please contact our specialist engineers for very good advice both on the upgrade and how to correctly install it. We do positively encourage you to change and upgrade your own systems we know many of our customers are experts or at least very knowledgeable in their own right. Please note that Cryo PC reserves the right to refuse upgrades without any explanations in certain situations.
It is crucial that the original packaging is saved in the event the system must be returned to us. If our Special Delivery method has been selected, it is important to save at least the Outer packaging that can be filled with bublewarp if a system needs to be returned.
Our warranty will cover overclocking/modification that has been done by us at the buyer’s request. If a RTB warranty has been selected and there is required to upgrade/repair the system we do offer a Collect and Return Service for your convenience at additional cost unless otherwise stated or you have purchased the on-site warranty service. Cryo PC reserves the right to allocate engineers with appropriate skills on-site or at our own engineering facilities as we deem most appropriate to the fault we believe has occurred through remote diagnosis.
9. PRIVACY POLICY
Sensitive data
We are committed to the highest standards of privacy as required by the Data Protection Act and do not create spam or participate in any spam schemes. Any communications with you will only be directly in the context of an order or enquiry placed and unless you check the option (opt in) for the newsletter we will not even send you our quarterly newsletter. We do recommend you take the newsletter though as it is informative and contains no advertising and is not directly contributed to by any of our partners. We never trade, exchange or in any other way transmit any sensitive personal information to any third party except for the purpose of processing a payment and delivering goods.
Our preferred and most common way of communicating is by email and we do send emails regarding order status to the email recipient given during the quotation process. Again they do not contain any adverts or unsolicited information.
Cookies
To enable Cryo PC to operate effectively, we may send data to your computer so that it may be stored between sessions you may have on our site. This creates a more convenient, interactive and personalised view of our site. This data is stored in something called a 'cookie' and is unique to each visitor's computer. It is an essential part of the browsing and ordering process.

10. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Any orders to be delivered outside the mainland UK are considered International orders.
We welcome international orders and frequently deal with international customers who enjoy our good service. We generally prefer to use UPS and TNT as our international carriers. All the same advise and conditions apply to international shipping as to UK shipping unless explicitly advised otherwise. As with UK shipping we do especially ensure that our systems are very well packed and insured in transit. In the unlikely event that damage occurs all the shipping expenses for repair must be covered by the customer unless it has been signed as DAMAGED and either we or the customer can claim against the carriers insurance.
In some circumstances as an alternative to having the system back to us for repair it is possible a local partner or other reputable computer specialist will be able to diagnose the fault caused by transit damage and we can either cover costs or send a replacement at our discretion and subject to the costs recovered through the insurance claim. Any shipping charges to and from us must be paid by the customer.
Currently the warranty on International orders is 1 year RTB (return to base).
We can organise for the items to be collected and repaired/upgraded/serviced, however all the shipping expenses must be covered by the customer.
Prices will be provided upon application. If a UK engineer is required or requested on site all travel, accommodation and labour expenses must be covered by the customer.
11. ORDER CANCELATIONS
Custom PCs: Once a quotation is accepted and paid for and your system is being built we incur charges and costs internally for a bespoke system only you have ordered and for this reason it is usually not possible to cancel the order or return the PC at no cost to the customer. 12. TRADING REGULATIONS
We are strictly adhering to the current legislation and are trading under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act), Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations and Data Protection Act 1994 (as amended).
If you are buying for personal use as a private individual, you may cancel your order at any time within 7 days of receiving the goods, and we will refund the product prices paid, providing the order is not a custom order (custom order is the product that is made or configured to your specifications).
Products must be returned unopened, unused and in the condition which they were sent.
Customers are responsible for arranging and returning goods. Delivery costs are non-refundable.
